Just when you thought NFL players have gotten into trouble in every way possible, they find a new one.

Texans safety D.J. Swearinger is under investigation for stealing a truck — his own — from a customizer, according to TMZ.

Houston's Espi Motors reportedly modified his F250 truck with matte black paint (with a Batman logo), speakers, new wheels, a custom grill and much more. All told, the modifications totaled $20,000.

According to the car detailer, Swearinger took his truck, but never took care of the bill.  The company filed an incident report, but Swearinger has not been charged.

“This matter is still pending, and is currently under review by the District Attorney’s office,” Deputy Thomas Gilliland, a Harris County Sheriff’s office spokesman, told the Houston Chronicle. “No charges were accepted by the DAs office, they wanted to speak to the other party, Mr. Swearinger, before further review of possible charges.”

The safety from South Carolina started 12 games for the Texans last year, recording 51 tackles and two interceptions.
