Catalans Dragons halted Warrington Wolves' unbeaten start to the Super League season with a 38-18 win in Perpignan on Saturday.

There were two tries apiece for Zeb Taia and Vincent Duport in a convincing display from the home team.

Willie Tonga and Michael Oldfield bookended the try scoring for Catalans, while Scott Dureau created two tries and kicked seven goals in a supreme individual display.

Warrington, without regular halves Stefan Ratchford and Richie Myler, were 18-0 down at the interval but threatened a comeback as Joel Monaghan and Gary Wheeler went over within 10 minutes of the restart.

Gareth O'Brien converted both of those tries and Joe Philbin's in the 67th minute.

That reduced the deficit to 32-18 before the excellent Dureau crafted Oldfield's score and added the extras.

An influential display from Rangi Chase gave Salford Red Devils their first win of the campaign, 32-28 over Hull FC.

Chase's trusty boot set up a brace for Josh Griffin and further tries by Niall Evalds and Junior Sa'u.

Theo Fages also scored and Evalds claimed a second, but injuries to himself and Mason Caton-Brown slightly soured Salford's evening.

Hull played a full part in an absorbing affair, fighting back from 10-0 down to lead 18-16 before Chase took centre-stage.

Jordan Thompson powered over for a pair of fine tries, while Jordan Rankin, Setaimata Sa and Tom Lineham also touched down for the visitors.
