Skip Bayless trashed by one of his own at ESPN

ESPN personality Skip Bayless does’t get much love on social media. His sharp, often unpopular opinions on "First Take" each morning are usually met with harsh remarks on Twitter.

Typically, however, those comments don't come from colleagues at ESPN … until Monday.

Bayless, an outspoken Manny Pacquiao supporter, went berserk Monday morning defending the Filipino fighter after his unanimous loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr. After ripping off a Mayweather hat and T-shirt he was forced to wear after losing a bet with co-host Stephen A. Smith, Bayless echoed Pacquiao’s belief from Saturday that he actually won the fight.

In response, ESPN boxing reporter Dan Rafael said in a tweet that has since been deleted: “The nonsense being uttered by Skip is absolutely laughable about #MayweatherPacquiao. This is a train wreck.”

Granted, Rafael’s tweet was mild compared to ones that surfaced after Bayless’ display, but ESPN generally frowns upon in-house trash talk …  just ask Tony Kornheiser, who was suspended in 2010 after he shared some not-so-complimentary thoughts on one of Hannah Storm’s outfits. Bill Simmons has also been critical of First Take in the past.
