The SEC earned a record $435 million in revenue from the 2014 season, which means each of its schools will receive a huge payout.

According to sources at ESPN.com, all 14 SEC institutions will earn $31.07 million, a significant increase from the $20.9 million each school received from the previous season.

In reality, the SEC made $455 million in revenue this year, but $20 million was retained by schools that were in bowl games. By comparison, the Big 12 earned somewhere "north of $250 million," the sources said.

The SEC Network, televised football, bowl games, the SEC football championship, televised basketball, the SEC men's basketball tournament, NCAA championships and a supplemental surplus distribution all contribute to the total revenue the conference earns in a fiscal year.
