Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Kam Chancellor "looked pretty" as the reigning NFL champions sweat on the safety's fitness ahead of their showdown with the New England Patriots in Arizona.

Chancellor sent alarm bells ringing through the Seahawks camp when he picked up a knee injury towards the end of practice on Friday.

The 26-year-old exited the field with his knee wrapped, though he was not limping.

However, Chancellor took part in the team's walk-through practice session on Saturday in a major boost for Carroll and the Seahawks.

"He looked pretty good today," Carroll said.

"We will make sure we test him in pre-game, but he remarkably looked great today and so that's all we have to go on."

Chancellor has played a leading role for the Seahawks en route to the Super Bowl with 60 tackles and 18 assists, while he is averaging 52 yards.
