Matchup: No. 2 Oregon Ducks (12-1, Pac-12) vs. No. 3 Florida State Seminoles (13-0, ACC)

Site: Rose Bowl, Pasadena, Calif.

When:  Jan. 1, 5 p.m. ET

TV: ESPN

Series: No previous matchups

Coaches: Mark Helfrich (Oregon); Jimbo Fisher (Florida State)

Players to watch: In a matchup of the last two Heisman Trophy winners, this game features seven All-Americans. Marcus Mariota and Jameis Winston are the obvious playmakers, but Florida State's Nick O’Leary, who owns virtually every school record for tight ends, and wide receiver Rashad Greene (1,306 yards, seven touchdowns) could cause problems for Oregon's 81st-ranked defense that will be without All-America corner Ifo Ekpre-Olomu (knee). Oregon running back Royce Freeman is averaging 5.6 yards per carry thanks in part to All-America offensive center Hroniss Grasu. Mariota and his 52 total touchdowns will face a Florida State defense that allows 5.31 yards per play.
