After being granted a waiver to transfer within the Big Ten with immediate eligibility, Iowa quarterback Jake Rudock is going to play for Michigan and coach Jim Harbaugh, according to multiple reports.

Rudock, who started for Iowa the last two seasons, finished the 2014 season with 2,436 passing yards, 16 touchdowns and a conference-low five interceptions. However, C.J. Beathard replaced Rudock in the second quarter of the TaxSlayer Bowl. Beathard was listed as Iowa’s starter on the spring depth chart released in January.

Rudock will compete with Shane Morris and Wilton Speight and true freshmen Zach Gentry and Alex Malzone for the starting role in Michigan’s season opener against Utah.
