Brandon Spikes didn’t leave the Patriots last offseason on the best terms, but it looks like his second go-round in New England is off to a rosy start.

After signing with the Bills as a free agent in 2014, Spikes said on his Twitter page he was looking forward to handing the Patriots two losses and referred to his time with Bill Belichick as "4 years a slave" in reference to the movie "12 Years a Slave."

Spikes is back after just one season in Buffalo, and after OTAs on Friday, he addressed his newfound peace with Belichick speaking with the Boston Herald.

"We can clearly see that me and 'The Hoodie' kissed and made up," Spikes said. “I’m here. That's in the past. I'm moving on. So that's dead … I think we're both happy I'm here and were able to put things aside, let bygones be bygones."

The Patriots drafted Spikes out of Florida in the second round of the 2010 draft, and he eventually became a staple in Belichick’s defense. After Spikes got his creative comments out of his system, he reverted to a tone similar to his rookie teammates and addressed the upcoming season in a way ‘The Hoodie’ would approve.

"We're all moving forward. It's 2015 season right around the corner and we're just trying to take each and every day to get better," Spikes said. "All of that that's in the past is in the past. I'm happy. I'm happy to be home. This is the organization that drafted me. It's a first-class place and I'm very, very, very appreciative of it."
