Baseball will resume in Baltimore on Wednesday, with a jarring twist. No fans will be allowed into Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

The Orioles announced Tuesday afternoon that the final game of a scheduled three-game set with the White Sox would be moved up from 7:05 p.m. to 2:05 p.m. ET but would be closed to the public.

In addition, the Orioles will move their scheduled weekend home series against the Rays to Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla. The Orioles will be the home team for those games Friday-Sunday.

Those moves are in response to the 10 p.m.-5 a.m. citywide curfew instituted by Baltimore city officials in the wake of rioting that roiled the city Monday afternoon and evening. That unrest led to the postponement of Monday's and Tuesday's Orioles-White Sox games, which will be made up as part of a single-admission doubleheader on May 28.

"After conversations with the Orioles and local officials, we believe that these decisions are in the best interests of fan safety and the deployment of city resources," MLB commissioner Rob Manfred said in a statement. “Our thoughts are with all those who have been affected by violence in Baltimore, and everyone in our game hopes for peace and the safety of a great American city.”
