No. 17 Iowa State overcomes 21-point deficit to beat No. 15 Oklahoma

No. 17 Iowa State trailed Oklahoma by 21 points at one point, but rallied back to beat No. 15 Oklahoma, 77-70, at home on Monday in a critical Big 12 Conference game.

Iowa State was down by 19 points at halftime, 37-18, but forward Georges Niang led an amazing charge as the Cyclones scored 22 straight points in just over 5 minutes and outscored the Sooners 59-33 in the second half. Niang finished with 23 points.

With the win, Iowa State (21-8, 11-6) clinched at least a share of the Big 12 regular-season conference title.

Sophomore Monte Morris scored 19 points, 17 of which came in the second half, for Iowa State. Senior Dustin Hogue played his last home game in front of a sold-out crown, scoring seven points and grabbing 10 rebounds before fouling out in the final seconds.

Buddy Hield led Oklahoma (20-9, 11-6) with 26 points. Isaiah Cousins scored 12 points and Jordan Woodard tacked on 10.
