Todd Gurley's draft stock just went up a little higher.

The former Georgia running back had his knee checked out by medical experts on Friday and Saturday, and he should be ready to go for the 2015 NFL Draft, according to NFL Network.

Gurley, who is expected to be a first-round pick, tore his ACL in November during Georgia's win over Auburn and underwent reconstructive surgery. Now that he's medically cleared, Gurley should be ready to fully practice at an NFL training camp.

A running back hasn't been selected in the first round of the draft the past two seasons. The last time one was taken was 2012, when Trent Richardson (No. 3 overall), Doug Martin (31st) and David Wilson (32nd), each were drafted.

In SN's latest Mock Draft, Gurley is a projected first-rounder and first running back off the board. Wisconsin's Melvin Gordon is also a projected first round selection.

The NFL Draft will start April 30.
