Michigan defensive back Jabrill Peppers commented on one of the most talked about sports topics — should student athletes get paid to play?

Peppers took to Twitter on Tuesday night to talk about his struggles with making enough money to feed himself.

His "first meal of the day" tweet came at 8:17 p.m., which is very late to be having your first meal. The 6-1, 205-pound 19-year-old wants to be fed, and deserves to be fed. The kid Jim Harbaugh called an "A-plus" player could just be venting his thoughts on social media, but it's still an important issue among student athletes.

Former UConn basketball star Shabazz Napier made headlines last year when he said, "there's hungry nights where I'm not able to eat." The NCAA responded and made some changes to the food program, but it may not have been enough.

A follower pointed out the changes to the Michigan DB responded by saying, "Many loopholes in that rule my friend."
