Toyota Owners 400 weather report: Drivers can expect rain Saturday

Rain is expected at Richmond Saturday

For the second week in a row, NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers will have their eyes on the sky as rain could delay the Toyota Owners 400 on Saturday at Richmond International Raceway.

The latest forecast says there is a 90 percent chance of rain for Richmond, Va., from the afternoon until nighttime. With about a quarter-inch of rain expected to fall, SB Nation NASCAR meteorologist Brian Neudorff says he doesn't see a realistic window to complete the 400-lap race Saturday night.

NASCAR may have to move the race to Sunday, but Neudorff believes the skies won't be dry until Sunday afternoon and evening.

Drivers had to wait through more than four hours of rain delays in Bristol, Tenn., before the Food City 500 was completed. Matt Kenneth took the checkered flag almost 10 hours after the race was scheduled to begin.
