In 1989, "Back to the Future Part II" predicted that the Cubs would defeat Miami in the 2015 World Series. While that match-up is impossible, the Cubs could claim their first World Series title in 107 years this fall.

In celebration of that possibility, an Illinois auto museum has offered to give away a vintage DeLorean if the Cubs can win it all in 2015, Chicago television station WLS reported.

Volo Auto Museum in Volo, Illinois, announced on its website that it will give away a 1981 exhibition model DeLorean, valued at $85,000, if the Cubs are crowned world champions.

The giveaway is part of a contest that is scheduled to begin on March 21 and will end one day before Game 1 of the 2015 World Series. Anyone who visits the museum during that time is eligible to win.

"We'll take entries through the end of the baseball season — either until the Cubs are out, or until they win," Brian Grams, director of the museum, said.

If the Cubs fail to snap their World Series skid, the winner will receive a hoverboard prop instead.

"That's still a really cool prize," Grams said. "It's also been on display here since the 1990s, and it has a definite patina."

The Cubs last made it to the World Series in 1945, though they haven't won since earning back-to-back championships in 1907 and 1908.
