The Predators and Ducks clinched berths earlier Saturday. The Lightning failed to cement a bid Saturday, falling 4-0 to the Red Wings.

The top three teams in each of the NHL's four divisions qualify for the Stanley Cup Playoffs, along with two wild-card teams from each conference. The Rangers became the first team to punch their playoff ticket, with Thursday's 5-1 win over the Senators.

The playoffs begin April 15. Montreal will be looking to add another Stanley Cup to its trophy case. The Canadiens have a record 25 NHL championships, although they have not won the Stanley Cup since the 1992-93 season.
