Mariners reliever David Rollins has been suspended 80 games for the use of performance-enhancing drugs, MLB announced Friday.

According to USA Today, Rollins was caught using Stanozolol, a muscle-building anabolic steroid.

"Having spoken at length with David, I know that he is truly remorseful for his error in judgment," Mariners executive vice president Jack Zduriencik said in a team statement. "We will continue to work with him to get past this situation."

Rollins will not appeal the suspension, saying in a statement, "my positive test was the result of a serious error in judgment."

After being selected by the Mariners in the 2014 Rule 5 Draft, the 25-year-old Rollins was vying for an opening day roster spot after posting a 1.13 ERA and 7/0 K/BB ratio over eight innings for Seattle this spring.
