Eagles running back LeSean McCoy wants to keep the core of his team's offense together, but he isn’t about to sacrifice any dollars to make it happen.

McCoy and the Eagles have been in talks about a long-term deal, but the team also wants to keep wide receiver Jeremy Maclin.

"I know how hard it is to keep a team together and I want to be part of this team, but I don't want to take less money," McCoy said during a radio appearance Thursday at the Super Bowl. "I want to figure a way to make it happen (where) we're all together."

McCoy, 26, is set to make $9.75 million ($1 million guaranteed) next season and cost nearly $12 million toward the Eagles’ cap. He has said previously that he’d be willing to restructure his deal but would not take a pay cut. Luckily for Philadelphia, Nick Foles is still playing under his rookie contract, allowing the team plenty of salary cap wiggle room.

"We're going to work it out and see what happens," McCoy said. "I've got to pay my boy (Maclin).”

McCoy rushed for 1,319 yards and five touchdowns in 2014 after accounting for 2,146 yards and 11 scores in 2013. He’ll point out those stats directly to coach Chip Kelly, who also controls football operations.

"(Former Eagles coach) Andy (Reid) had the same type of (power), so I'm used to that," McCoy said. "I think it's better because if you want deals done you can come talk to him directly — 'Hey, Coach' — because some stuff may bother you."
