The Kings and Sharks will take their rivalry outdoors when the teams meet at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., on Feb. 21. Hockey fans without tickets, though, will have another option to watch the game and cheer on their team.

According to Fathom Events, three Los Angeles-area movie theaters — Regal L.A. Live Stadium 14, Cinemark 18 & XD at Howard Hughes Center, and AMC Puente Hills 20 — will carry the game on the big screen. Tickets will go on sale at midnight on Friday.

"As the recognized world leader in event cinema, Fathom Events is proud to present another landmark event — the first NHL game shown in U.S. movie theaters," the company's chief executive John Rubey said, via the Los Angeles Times. "Through our partnership with the NHL and L.A. Kings, Los Angeles-based hockey fans can catch all the on-ice action surrounded by NHL faithful at these exclusive big screen events — all of which will feature such special experiences like DJ'ed music, giveaways and more."

The Kings previously hosted the Ducks at Dodger Stadium in LA on Jan. 25, 2014. They were shut out 3-0.

"Last year's game at Dodger Stadium was a unique and fun experience," Kings president of business operations Luc Robitaille said. "We are looking forward to our fans joining us in Santa Clara next month as well, but for those who cannot make that trip this is a great opportunity to enjoy the game with a large group of folks who share a similar passion."
