Kentucky and Nike joined at the hip for the next decade

Not content to just win on the basketball court, Kentucky has also scored a long-term equipment deal.

The school has signed an eight-year contract extension with Nike, keeping the relationship intact through Aug. 31, 2025, according to the Portland Business Journal. The deal was originally signed in April 2013, but was only recently made public after several inquires.

The eight-year extension will net Kentucky $30.6 million total. The school will get more than $3 million in equipment and cash combined from Nike this academic year.

Kentucky will receive $1.8 million from Nike per year through the end of the deal, and its equipment allowance will increase to $2.125 million by the last year of the deal.

Kentucky also received a $2.4 million signing bonus.
