The Cubs and Mariners continue to stay busy this offseason with Wednesday's trade of outfielder Justin Ruggiano from Chicago to Seattle for a minor league right-hander Matt Brazis.
Ruggiano, 32, hit ..281/.337/.429 last season with Chicago. He hit a career-high 18 homers and 50 RBIs with the Marlins in 2013.
He is expected to make around $2.5 million in 2015 and is under team control through the 2016 season.
Brazis, 25, was the Mariners' minor league reliever of the year last season.
