NFL officials are investigating allegations that New Orleans Saints linebacker Junior Galette was caught on video beating a woman with a belt.

In a 2013 video circling You Tube titled "Spring Break 2013 South Beach Brawl", a man identified as Galette is seen striking a woman twice.

Galette's lawyer denies the man in the video is his client, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. This is the second time this year that Galette has been under scrutiny in an alleged assault.

"We were made aware of the video and we sent it to the league office," Saints spokesman Greg Bensel said, via the Times-Picayune. "There is a process this will go through at the league-office level and we are waiting on that to be determined."

The man believed to be Galette reappeared in the video without sunglasses and shoved several people before throwing a punch as two others fought.

Galette's lawyer told the newspaper: "I don't understand why this (video) is being dragged back into this poor fellow's life again."

Galette was arrested on domestic battery charges in January, but those charges were dismissed in February.

NFL disciplinarians were expected to meet with Galette later this month to discuss the January incident. While those charges were dropped, the 2013 video could lead to league punishment.

Galette, 27, was not drafted, but signed with the Saints in 2010. He got a four-year contract extension in September of 2014 for a reported $41 million, with $23 million guaranteed.
