The Braves and Dodgers announced Wednesday they have completed a six-player deal headlined by infielders Juan Uribe and Alberto Callaspo.

The Dodgers acquired Callaspo and pitchers Ian Thomas, Juan Jaime and Eric Stults from the Braves for Uribe and pitcher Chris Withrow.

Callaspo, who is hitting .206/.293/.252 in 38 games this season, was pulled from Tuesday night's game at Los Angeles. Uribe, 36, is hitting .247/.287/.309 with one home run and six RBIs in 29 games. The trade is convenient to complete with the Braves and Dodgers finishing a three-game series Wednesday night in Los Angeles.

The 35-year-old Stults pitched 3 2/3 scoreless innings of relief for the Braves Tuesday to lower his ERA to 5.85. Stults is 1-5 this season in eight starts and could be inserted into L.A.'s injury-ridden rotation.

Withrow has yet to pitch this season, coming off Tommy John surgery, but the power reliever could boost Atlanta's bullpen. Withrow, 26, is 3-0 with 71 strikeouts and 31 walks over 56 innings the last two years.
