Outfielder Josh Hamilton's reunion with the Rangers will become official Monday when he joins the team in Cleveland for a three-game series against the Indians, the Dallas Morning News reported.

“Josh is physically and game-ready to get started,” general manager Jon Daniels said. “The team is playing well, and we’re looking forward to welcoming him to the club.”

Hamilton's final minor-league rehab game, with Triple-A Round Rock, was rained out Saturday. In 12 games with Round Rock and Double-A Frisco, Hamilton hit .364 with a home run and six RBIs in 44 at-bats.

He was to travel Sunday to Cleveland as the Rangers wrapped up a series against the Yankees in New York.

“I’m excited about it,” Hamilton said. “It’s good to work hard and get back and get healthy and get mentally focused and get back to where I want to be.”

According to the Morning News, Hamilton said his right shoulder, operated on in February while he was with the Angels, has caused no problems and that his swing and his legs have improved significantly over the past five days.

UPDATE (6:40 p.m. EST): Rangers manager Jeff Bannister says Hamilton will be in the starting lineup against the Indians.
