The Orioles will simply have to make do without second baseman Jonathan Schoop for the next couple of weeks.

Schoop sustained the injury after tripping over Red Sox first baseman Mike Napoli on Friday. But the rehabilitation period shouldn't be too long. Ryan Flaherty will take over at second base.

So far this season, Schoop is batting .259/.310/.630 with three home runs and seven RBIs.

Infielder Jimmy Paredes has been activated from the DL in Schoop's place. Paredes had an impressive spring hitting .364/.368/.636 with seven doubles, a triple, two homers and 12 RBIs.
