Texas A&M tried to use Johnny Manziel's first-round selection by the Browns during last year's NFL Draft as a recruiting tool.
A Twitter account operated by someone in the athletic department — which you can tell from the contact info on AggieFBLife.com — sent out a promotional tweet Tuesday night ahead of Thursday's draft.

Manziel led the Aggies to a 9-4 record a year later, ending with a Chick-Fil-A Bowl win over Duke. Texas A&M has not won a national championship since 1939 and has not played in what were the BCS bowl games since the 1998 Sugar Bowl – a 24-14 loss to Ohio State.
