Russell Wilson is not at the Seahawks' voluntary team OTAs, but he has a good reason.

According to multiple reports, Wilson joined Jimmy Graham in Florida for the funeral of Tamara Meyerson, who "loved and mentored Graham as a son," according to her obituary. Meyerson acted as a surrogate mother after Graham's biological mother abandoned him when he was 11.

Also joining Wilson and Graham was Seahawks senior director of player development, Maurice "Mo" Kelly.

A few more Seahawks missed the beginning of OTAs. Cliff Avril's father recently died and a funeral service is being held later this week. Michael Bennett is missing, but his absence is due to a contract dispute.
