Jim Harbaugh finishes fourth in Michigan student government election

Just as Nick Saban did two weeks ago at Alabama, Jim Harbaugh received multiple write-in votes during student government elections at the University of Michigan.

Saban finished third in voting for student government president at Alabama. Harbaugh received enough votes to finish fourth in Michigan's election, according to The Michigan Daily.

While Saban garnered just six total votes, Harbaugh received 115 votes for president for 1.26 percent of the total vote. The former 49ers coach also received 21 votes as a write-in candidate in the College of Literature, Science and the Arts elections for student government representative.

Harbaugh, who played quarterback at Michigan from 1983-86 before a 14-year NFL playing career, was hired by his alma mater on Dec. 30.
