After a preseason game against the Cardinals Saturday in Clearwater, Fla., Tigers pitcher Ian Krol came home to find his apartment looted, The Detroit News reported.

"Lesson learned, I guess," said Krol, who left the door unlocked. "It was a mistake on my part but at the same time, what's wrong with people?"

Krol said that $6,000 worth of cash was missing, but everything else seemed to be there. He went back to his apartment to grab some of the cash to take his parents out to dinner when he discovered he had been burglarized.

"Someone must've been watching me, that's the creepy thing," Krol said. "It probably happened right after I left my apartment, so someone was waiting."

Krol filed a police report, but isn't expecting much to come out of it.

During the Tigers' game against the Cardinals, he struck out two in a scoreless inning.
