The Giants were ruthless on Saturday (AEST) against the Phillies, making short work of the visitors in a 15-2 romp at AT&T Park in San Francisco.

Joe Panik was on fire, claiming two runs and three RBIs in the win, but his most impressive move of the night came when he provided an unusual highlight for one fan who tried to collect a Panik dinger from San Francisco Bay.

Panik hit a long ball that proceeded to bounce out of the park and into the water at the back of the stadium.

But one fan wasn’t too keen on missing out on the piece of memorabilia, jumping over the safety rail and into the water after the ball just missed his hands on the boardwalk.

You’ve got to hand it to the fan, he just wanted it more.
