Newly crowned world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury promised to try and match the charisma of Muhammad Ali.
The Englishman beat Wladimir Klitschko on points to claim the WBA Super, IBF and WBO heavyweight titles in Dusseldorf on Saturday.
Fury, 27, said he wanted to be as charming as Ali, considered arguably the greatest heavyweight in boxing history.
"Tonight's the start of a new era and I said I'll be the most charismatic champion since Muhammad Ali and I'll be that," he told Sky Sports.
"It was a tough ask coming here. He [Klitschko] has avoided me for five years. People can say what they want about me.
"He landed some good shots on me and not one rocked me. He was hanging on for dear life in that fight."
Klitschko's era of dominance came to an end with a unanimous points decision – the judges scoring it 115-112, 115-112 and 116-111 in Fury's favour.
Fury said he had silenced his critics.
"If I can do half as well as Wladimir Klitschko, I'll be a great champion. It's unfortunate he had to fight the furious one and lose his belts tonight," he said, via the BBC.
"I told everybody. Everybody wrote me off - only my team and my family believed I could come here and do it.
"The so called experts said it couldn’t be done and I proved them all wrong."
