The Francisco Rodriguez saga appears to have wound to an end exactly where it started.

The Brewers' once and future closer has agreed to a two-year deal with Milwaukee that includes a team option for 2017, CBSSports.com reports. Financial terms weren't immediately available.

Rodriguez, who turned 33 last month, earned his fifth career All-Star selection last season on the way to saving 44 games for the Brewers. There was some inconsistency in 2014, though, as K-Rod allowed a career-high 14 home runs even as he posted a career-best 0.985 WHIP.

Rodriguez's 348 career saves are second to Joe Nathan (376) on the active list and rank 10th all-time. He also has pitched for the Orioles, Mets and Angels, setting a major league record with 62 saves in 2008.
