Florida starting quarterback Treon Harris was cited Tuesday for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.

According to the Gainesville Sun, University of Florida Police found two small bags of marijuana in the car Harris was driving. Harris, along with freshman cornerback Jalen Tabor and freshman defensive back J.C. Jackson, were stopped in Gainesville for going 10 mph over the speed limit late Tuesday night with the smell of marijuana coming from the car.

The report said that since the car Harris was driving did not belong to him, Tabor or Jackson, they likely will not be charged with possession of marijuana. Harris, Tabor and Jackson could be facing discipline from a Student Conduct Board, which will investigate the case.

This is not the first time Harris has been in trouble with the law. Earlier this year, Harris was under investigation by the University Police Department in connection to an alleged sexual assault of a female student.

Harris took over as starting quarterback Nov. 1 in Florida's upset win of then-No. 11 Georgia. The freshman has 896 yards, seven touchdowns through the air while running for 291 yards and three more scores.

The university's athletics department has not commented on the citation. Florida is set to play East Carolina Jan. 3 in the Birmingham Bowl.
