Artur Fedosseyev is the latest member of the team to return a positive sample, following similar incidents with Ilya Davidenok, Viktor Okishev, Maxim and Valentin Iglinskiy in the last two months.

The 20-year-old Kazakh's violation came following testing at the Tour de l'Ain in August, when Fedosseyev finished 15th.

A statement from the UCI on Wednesday announced the latest infringement from the team.

"The Union Cycliste Internationale announces that it has notified UCI Continental Team Astana Kazakh rider Artur Fedosseyev of an Adverse Analytical Finding of Anabolic Androgenic Steroids in a sample collected at the Tour de l’Ain on 16 August 2014," it read.

"The rider has the right to request and attend the analysis of the B sample.

"In accordance with UCI Anti-doping Rules, the rider has been provisionally suspended until the adjudication of the affair."

The UCI launched an investigation into Astana, for whom Vincenzo Nibali won the Tour de France this year, following the violations from Davidenok and the Iglinsky brothers.

That inquiry by the Licence Committee could see the team lose their WorldTour licence if assurances over management and anti-doping policies cannot be given.
