Right wing Tim Jackman is to be sidelined for between four to six weeks due to a lower-body injury, the Anaheim Ducks said on Wednesday.

The Ducks made the announcement prior to their showdown with the Montreal Canadiens after Jackman was injured during Sunday's 3-1 win over the Dallas Stars.

Jackman, who signed a one-year contract extension last month, collided with Stars forward Ales Hemsky.

The 33-year-old has scored five goals and two assists in 53 games for the Western Conference Pacific Division-leading Ducks this season.
