Derek Jeter never participated in the MLB All-Star Home Run Derby, but on Saturday, the 14-time All-Star faced off against former teammate Hideki Matsui in a long ball contest during a charity event in Tokyo. The event raised money for victims of the tsunami that devastated the country in 2011.
According to the AP, Matsui thrilled the fans when he hit a towering homer over the right-field wall at the Tokyo Dome, where he spent 10 seasons with the Yomiuri Giants before heading to the United States to join the Yankees.

"It was a wonderful few days," Jeter said, via FOX Sports. "Hideki showed me around, I got a chance to go see his hometown, I got a chance to see sumo wrestling and to top it off today was this great charity event. I'm grateful Hideki invited me and it's all for a great cause."
The four-day event included a youth baseball clinic and three-inning contest between middle school teams managed by Jeter and Matsui.
