For the second time in their history, the Cavaliers are the Eastern Conference champs and advance to The Finals, where they'll face either the Golden State Warriors, or the Houston Rockets.

The major storyline is that of LeBron James who returned home—but for fans in Australia, it's hard not to get excited for Dellavedova.

He has faced his own trials—and another chapter in his incredible NBA journey is about to be written.

Speaking post-game, he touched on the obstacles the team has overcome this season.

“We’ve been through some adversity now and we’ve got tighter and tighter as a team," Dellavedova said.

"Atlanta’s a tough team, they had a really good season so we’re just happy to get the win.”

It's been a tumultuous 48 hours for Cleveland's second-year guard, whose character was brought into question following three incidents in the postseason.

Hustle, or coincidence? Just about every analyst had voiced their opinion on the matter, speculating about Dellavedova's intent.

After the game, Dellavedova chose to thank those around him for their support.

“I’ve got great teammates and a great family and friends.”

“I appreciate the support of the fans here, it’s a great place to play.”

The fans showed their appreciate with a standing ovation when he checked into Game 4.

He'll enter The Finals riding high on confidence, after averaging 9.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists in the conference finals, having accepted a minutes boost in Kyrie Irving's absence.

With Irving available once more, Dellavedova still has a role to play, with Cleveland striving to claim an elusive title.
