The Patriots quarterback was suspended for the first four games of the 2015 regular season for his role in New England's Deflategate scandal. An investigation by attorney Ted Wells found that Brady was aware he was using underinflated footballs during January's AFC championship game against the Colts. New England rolled with a 45-7 victory and went on to win Super Bowl XLIX with Brady claiming game MVP honors for the third time in his career.

Commissioner Roger Goodell will hear the appeal after the NFL denied the NFLPA's request that the commissioner recuse himself from the hearing.
