The Reds have reached an extension agreement to keep All-Star catcher Devin Mesoraco at Great American Ball Park for at least four more seasons. The deal is reportedly worth $28 million with a $2 million escalator clause that would total $30 million.

According to the Cincinnati Enquirer and Sportsnet.ca, Mesoraco was entering his first season of arbitration eligibility in 2015, so he'll have all of his arbitration years covered by this extension along with one year of free agency.

Mesoraco batted 273/.359/.534 with 25 home runs in 114 games last season that featured an All-Star worthy first half of the season in which he hit 304/.375/.609. The 26-year-old posted the highest OPS (.893) of any major league catcher in 2014.
