Nearly a week after taking a nasty line drive to the face, Carlos Carrasco is still trying to recover.

The Indians’ right-hander was slated to start Sunday’s finale against the Twins, but won’t be on the mound again until Tuesday against the White Sox, at the earliest.

The 28-year-old’s left cheek was hit by a line drive from Melky Cabrera last Tuesday. Trevor Bauer will take his place on Monday.

Carrasco signed a four-year, $22 million contract just before Opening Day. He's 1-1 in two starts (6 1/3 innings) this season with a 2.84 ERA.
