Islanders winger Cal Clutterbuck has been fined $2,000 by the NHL for embellishment in a Jan. 19 game against the Flyers.

At 19:04 of the second period in that game, Clutterbuck drew a hooking penalty on Philadelphia's Jakub Voracek and the Islanders ended up scoring on the ensuing power play.

The league's hockey operations department didn't buy Clutterbuck's act, which involved dropping one knee to the ice after what appeared to be not much more than a tap of Voracek's stick to his side. He already had been warned about embellishment during a Dec. 6 game against the Blues, so this second offense drew him a fine.
