Reds manager Bryan Price was ejected Saturday — during the lineup exchange prior to Cincinnati's game against the Indians.

Price, who went on a now-famous, expletive-laced rant about the media last month, is in his second season as Reds manager. Saturday was the fourth ejection of his career and the second this season.

The Reds have lost six straight, scoring more than three runs just once during that stretch. Price probably wanted to inject a little more offense into his lineup, but his request turned into an argument with crew chief Jim Reynolds, who ejected him.

The lengthy argument continued before Price finally left the field. Reynolds was the second base umpire on Saturday after overseeing third base on Friday. Price was likely still upset about Friday night's home plate umpire Manny Gonzalez. Players from both teams had issues with Gonzalez on Friday, when the Reds struck out nine times.
