Lightning goalie Ben Bishop had a little scare before the start of Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals.

During warmups, about 10 minutes before puck drop, a friendly shot appeared to breach the padding in Bishop's stomach/groin region, bringing the hulking goalie to the ice in a heap. Bishop took an early trip to the dressing room, prompting some questions over whether he would be OK to start the game. But he led the team onto the ice during introductions and didn't miss a minute, even making a couple big saves as he was tested early on by Rick Nash and the Rangers.

In the end, Bishop was just fine. He made 26 saves to shut out the Rangers and give the Lightning a 3-2 lead in the series with Game 6 in Tampa Bay on Tuesday.

Because he's a hockey player.
