Wide receiver Brandon Marshall has reportedly been traded from the Chicago Bears to the New York Jets.

ESPN's Adam Schefter claimed on Friday that the Bears had opted to deal the five-time Pro Bowler to New York.

The trade is said to depend on Marshall passing a physical and cannot become official until free agency officially opens next Tuesday.

Chicago traded two third-round picks to the Miami Dolphins in 2012 to acquire Marshall, who racked up 2,803 receiving yards and 23 touchdowns in his first two seasons at Soldier Field.

However, last year Marshall had his worst statistical season since his 2006 rookie campaign with just 61 catches for 721 yards and eight touchdowns in 13 games.

Marshall joins receiver Percy Harvin, who the Jets acquired in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks for a conditional draft pick in October, at MetLife Stadium.
