The Bears have added some much-needed younger depth behind 30-year-old workhorse Matt Forte.

On Tuesday, Chicago signed running back Jacquizz Rodgers to a one-year deal. The 25-year-old Rodgers' entire NFL career has been with the Falcons.

In addition to his work at running back, Rodgers is also comfortable blocking, lining up catching passes out of the backfield and lining up as a slot receiver.

Rodgers rushed for 217 yards and one touchdown last year with the Falcons. He also caught 29 passes for 173 yards and a touchdown.

The Falcons selected him out of Oregon State in the fifth round of the 2011 draft. His best season in Atlanta was in 2013, when he had 673 yards from scrimmage and four touchdowns.
