At 12:26 a.m., a state trooper pulled over a convertible Chevrolet Camaro for going 100 mph in a 55 mph zone.

Hampton, who was identified as the driver, was submitted to a sobriety test and reportedly had a blood-alcohol level of .10. The BAC in North Carolina is .08.

Hampton was arrested and booked at the Mecklenburg County Jail, where he later posted bond.

According to investigators, as the officer came up to the vehicle, he noticed two passengers attempting to hide firearms under the front passenger seat. Those passengers were charged with carrying concealed weapons.

Hampton was signed by the Ravens in January, and he has yet to play a down in the NFL. He's spent some time on the Bengals and the Giants before signing with Baltimore.

At this point, the pinnacle of the cornerback's career was his tenure at South Carolina from 2010-13. He left before his senior year to enter the NFL, only to go undrafted.
