Alex Rodriguez's cousin, Yuri Sucart, has pleaded guilty in the federal investigation of performance-enhancing drugs that were illegally supplied to athletes through a Florida clinic, the Associated Press reported Friday.

More than six years ago, the Yankees infielder confessed to doping and singled out his kin as his steroid mule. On Friday, U.S. District Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga held a plea hearing for Sucart, who is the last remaining defendant in the Biogenesis of America case.

Sucart was arrested by federal authorities on Aug. 5 last year and charged in a seven-count indictment with testosterone distribution and conspiracy to distribute the performance-enhancing substance. He will face between eight and 14 months in prison under the plea agreement with prosecutors, though his attorney told The Associated Press he would ask for a more lenient four months of house arrest for Sucart. Sentencing is set for June 4.

Rodriguez won't be forced to testify in open court following Sucart's guilty plea.

Former Biogenesis owner Anthony Bosch and six other men have already pleaded guilty and been given sentences ranging from probation to four years in prison. The federal investigation also led to the suspension of 14 players; Rodriguez missed all of last season as punishment.
