Shayanna Jenkins' two days of testimony concluded Monday with discussion of the contents of a mysterious box she said Aaron Hernandez ordered her to dispose of in the wake of the slaying of Odin Lloyd.

During 10 hours of tense questioning that began Friday, Hernandez's fiancee told prosecutors in the murder trial of the former Patriots star that she did not look inside the box before dropping it off in a dumpster at an undisclosed location.

“He told me to go downstairs in our storage room and remove a box,” Jenkins testified Monday, via the Boston Globe.

She said she retrieved the box and placed it in a black trash bag along with some clothing, adding that she covered the box out of "general instinct." She also testified that the box weighed "maybe 35 pounds, 40 maybe." When asked in cross examination if the box emitted an odor, Jenkins responded that it had "a skunky smell" consistent to that of marijuana.

Jenkins, who was granted immunity by prosecutors, had never before speculated on the record about the contents of the box. Investigators believe it may have contained the weapon used to kill Lloyd, a .45-caliber Glock that has not yet been recovered.

Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to the killing of Lloyd, 27, who was found shot to death June 17, 2013, in an industrial park near the home of Hernandez and Jenkins in North Attleboro, Mass.

Jenkins, whose testimony had been highly anticipated because of the possibility she could flip sides and offer incriminating evidence against Hernandez, went on to say that she disposed of the box in a dumpster but could not remember where.

“I don’t know. I found a random dumpster," she said. "I don’t remember exactly where it was located. ... I think it was a residential area. I’m not sure what else was around."

Jenkins was dismissed from the stand shortly after 2 p.m. and exited the courtroom.
