Taylor Walker has signed a new three-year deal with Adelaide which will tie him to the club until the end of 2015.

Walker has played 54 matches and kicked 119 goals for the Crows since his debut in 2009 and is a huge piece in rookie coach Brenton Sanderson's future plans for the team.

The 22-year-old is enjoying his best year for Adelaide so far, having booted 29 goals in nine games which ranks him fourth in race for the Coleman Medal.

Walker, who is also averaging 14 touches and six marks a match in 2012, becomes the latest star to commit to the Crows after the likes of Patrick Dangerfield, Rory Sloane and Richard Douglas re-signed with the club earlier in the year.

"I feel pretty excited about re-signing. I think we're going onto some big things and that's the main reason I signed," Walker said.

Football operations general manager Phil Harper said the club was extremely pleased to add Walker to a strong list of growing players.

"We are really pleased with Taylor's development to date, from a raw schoolboy from Broken Hill to a formidable forward in the AFL, so we are pleased he has committed to the club for an extended period," he said.

Walker will next be in action on Sunday when the second-placed Crows travel to Etihad Stadium to face North Melbourne.
