It appeared Wingard had crashed into the behind post and come off second best but on viewing the replay, Hodge's elbow came into contact with the Port Adelaide star's head.
If cited by the MRP, Hodge faces a suspension with a negative loading after being rubbed out for three matches earlier in the year for striking North Melbourne's Andrew Swallow.
Hawthorn will play Brisbane and Carlton before embarking on a finals campaign to clinch their third consecutive AFL premiership.
How many weeks off do you think Hodge will get?
