The 2014 best and fairest winner for the Swans, Parker had his leg caught under Magpies youngster Taylor Adams in a tackle in the final quarter of Sydney’s Friday night blockbuster with Collingwood in Sydney.

Parker was taken off on a stretcher with fears that he had broken a bone in his right lower leg or ankle.

Parker told Sydney captain Jarrad McVeigh that he had broken his leg while he was lying on the SCG turf.

The Swans’ premiership chances may have been dashed with the injury to Parker, who is a prolific ball winner in the Sydney midfield.
